Because the treatment doesn't rely on heat, it can be an option for people who aren't suited to heat-based treatments.

Recovery and aftercare
Your skin may look pink and feel tight or sensitive for a day or two. Kelsey will give you personal aftercare advice, including how to protect your skin from the sun.
How many sessions will I need?
Many people have a course rather than one session, but it depends on your skin and goals. Kelsey will recommend a plan at your appointment, with no pressure to commit.
Is SkinPen right for me?
SkinPen isn't suitable for everyone. If you're unsure, send Kelsey an enquiry before you book.
It may not be right if you:
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Have active breakouts, a skin infection or a cold sore in the treatment area
- Have taken isotretinoin (such as Roaccutane) recently
- Take blood thinners or have a bleeding disorder
- Tend to develop raised or keloid scars
- Have a medical condition or take medication that could affect healing
