Polynucleotides in Cambridge
An injectable skin treatment for tired under-eyes, crepey texture and skin that's lost its bounce. Polynucleotides work gradually, for natural-looking results.
Book a consultationWhat are polynucleotides?
Polynucleotides are a highly purified ingredient, usually derived from salmon or trout DNA, that's injected into the skin in tiny amounts.
They don't add volume or change your features. Instead, they're designed to support the skin's own renewal, so improvements build gradually over a course of treatment.
They're especially popular for the delicate under-eye area, where many other treatments aren't suitable.
Who are they for?
Polynucleotides suit adults who want a subtle, gradual improvement rather than an instant change. Kelsey will tell you honestly whether they're right for you.
- Your under-eyes look tired, dark or crepey
- You've noticed fine lines or thinning skin
- Your skin has lost some of its firmness or bounce
- You'd like your neck to look smoother
- You want natural-looking results with no change to your features

Common questions
How many sessions will I need?
Polynucleotides work best as a course. Kelsey will recommend how many sessions you need and how far apart, based on your skin and the area being treated.
When will I see results?
Improvements build gradually rather than appearing straight away, and usually become more noticeable as you go through your course.
Is there any downtime?
You may have small bumps, redness, swelling or bruising where the product was injected. These usually settle within a few days, so avoid booking right before an event.
Does it hurt?
Most clients describe a quick scratch with each injection. Numbing cream can be used to make you more comfortable.
Are polynucleotides vegan?
No. Most polynucleotides are derived from fish, so they're not suitable if you're vegan or avoid fish products.
Can anyone have polynucleotides?
You must be over 18. Please tell Kelsey if you're pregnant, trying for a baby or breastfeeding, or have a fish or seafood allergy, a skin infection, an autoimmune condition, or take blood-thinning medication, as the treatment may not be suitable.
